Jon all those corn shuttle I would guess are heading to the gulf, maybe even ports in Texas to take some pressure of the gulf or will be. Mississippi was/is/will be shut down for 3-5 day around lock number #16-18 so maybe pushing rail more. The gulf is set up for BARGE'S,,,,,,, rail only HELPS along.
In the up coming weeks probably til Christmas we WILL be totally maxing out our shipping capacity as a country. Thinking maxish is about 140-150 mb per week, we will learn how hard they can push it. Whether a combine or locks and dams when you push something to the MAX your gonna have troubles. Our Mississippi river locks and dams are much older then a JD "55" or a IH 403
Call/Talk/Push the Politicians,,, For funding improvements on the Mississippi infrastructure or ND/SD will have to raise MORE corn and beans to feed the PNW YEPPPPPPPP, I thought that would get corn belt guys attention :o) all the corn shuttles here go to Mexico or feed yards in Texas and New Mexico. By rail. |
