| Skid steers are by design built with the front and rear wheels on each side hooked together.
We usually rotated front to rear because the fronts wore out more slowly than the rears, then replace all 4.
If you replace both on a side, it will turn away from that side when going straight with the handles full forward or reverse because of the different overall diameters side to side, but that can be adjusted out most times.
I personally would always try to replace in pairs on opposite sides or all 4. If you have 2 good on one side and 2 bald or significantly more worn on the other side, it will drive you tee total nuts when digging because the bald side will spin out first and/or the good side will dig better in and it will try to turn.
If you aren't doing much digging and are concerned about the grass, either find a used tire, or replace the one on the same side as you have the new one now. IMO. | |
