It is a device considered taboo by Deere for many years. :)


But in all seriousness, mostly looks. It just flat looks good. :)

In that era I much prefer our Olivers. Nothing like MFWD and 18 gears forward! Oliver 3 speed didnt come out till near the end of the D21, but Allis didnt get over 10 gears forward in the big horse until the 7000 series.

IMO the 7000 series were the real groundbreaking ones.
