from what I gather on Twitter, there is a large portion of AB and western SK that is very dry. Next to no snow all winter. Apparently a little bit of seeding happening in Southern AB last week. Seems to be a lot of nervousness about this year because of dryness. Not much soil reserves to pull through a dry spring/summer.
