| I plan on adding a drop tube yet. Basically just 6 feet of 6" flexible hose. My plan is to back the planter up to it, fill fertilizer while doing the first hopper, probably have to move planter over and fill second hopper. It's much easier for me to back up a planter than a steering trailer.. but your right about the trying to get a feel for the manually opening the box while running the auger.. I told my dad if I only dump a couple bags of corn on the ground I'll be happy..good thing is it will most likely just be me running it. Also if things fill up faster than you think, no problem you can shut the box and swing the auger around and dump it back in the box.
At any rate, it'll be much better than dumping bags...
