Midwest
The sun will come up tomorrow, This industry seems to have new challenges long term and short term, some real and some not real. Some people start out with a lot and end up with less than nothing. Some people start small and end up with a good business. Still, the same principles apply that applied 100 years ago. This is all about managing risk, positive cash flow, controlling liabilities, managing through adversity, avoiding total screw ups, and a lot of honest faith in your self. last year we had record spring rains, we finished replanting on the 4th of July, Then we had a record heat during harvest that drove the corn moisture to 12% in the field. All in all it wasn't a bad year.
