Statesville, NC | In the past, I haven't been a supporter of ethanol, here in North Carolina. What rare few stations that had E85 was priced higher than premium gas. With all the poultry around here our typical corn basis is + .80 to 1.00. Just recently our local Sheetz locations started carrying E85, and it's priced very favorably. Today I filled up with it for 1.14, and regular was 1.64. I was just wondering why we could hardly find it a year ago, and when we did it was a ridiculously high price, and now it's such a good buy? Can they keep it that much lower than regular in this area, or is it something temporary? I hope it stays favorably priced, I will use it if it cost less per mile.
