| Decent folk still outnumber the weasels: the weasels just produce more stories per capita.
Had an elder farmer that was failing health-wise give my name (out of the blue) to one of his landlords right as I was getting into farming. It's been a real blessing.
Dad had a landlord that decided we had to go (it happens). Local farmers told the landlord we weren't doing anything wrong. Ended up being rented for $5 less an acre than we were paying. No hard feelings on that one.
Grandad had a long-time landlord will him the house and a half section. Still can't believe that one. | |
