I VR everything but the chemicals. I use inseason nitrate test to VR my N. Put a base rate down in the fall then follow with a side dress based on the test. Averaged around .7#n/bu which i didnt think was to bad. I cut my fall base rate even lower and going to try and get by with even less N because most of my checks said higher rates usually didn't result in higher yields.
