Just was looking at wheat and kinda scratching my head how that pencils out. I don't grow much wheat as i use it to cover crop and haul manure on after wheat is off but trying to make a profit growing it seems real tough.i can get usually 60 to the 70 bushel wheat as I grow it on sandy soil. Wheat is in low 4 dollar range here. I feel for you bigger growers of wheat.


Like corn looks great. 120bu corn at $3.40 equals $408 or 75 bu wheat at $4.50 equals $338. Figure in drying and seed cost difference wheat sounds ok to me.
