Southern MN | We have two Timpte trailers; one with steel subframe, one with aluminum (kingpin as well). Cant say much about resale, but the aluminum unit is definitely holding up better than the steel as far as corrosion and we haven't seen any issues with stress cracks or such. These trailers haul out-of-field as well as bins to river terminal. FWIW I would suggest going with the aluminum option based on the fact we will probably spend close to that $1,500 this year getting the steel framed trailer blasted, treated, and painted to look good again. | |
