Owatonna MN | What kind of switches are you using on your surge tank?
I originally set up our system with a 300 bu feed tank as a surge tank. I've tried pressure switches as well as EZ switches, but non seem able to handle the hot moist environment. This year I had a lot of trouble with the corn setting up in the tank and then plugging it. I finally gave up and ran the air pump continuously. It didn't seem to be cracking the corn too much, but I had them put a velocity controller on it just in case.
Do most people run them with surge tanks or without?
