SE IL | Thank you Ed for the vivid memory. And thank you for your service to this country. I was in high school when Vietnam ended and had grown up hating that war. A young man that was working for my family was drafted. He was KIA shortly after his arrival over there and it was pretty hard on all of us but I carried a grudge over that for a long time. It was the first war to be simultaneously fought at home on the television every night. With all of the associated armchair quarterbacking. I regret those feelings today. I cannot imagine the fear that had to be a constant battle to overcome on a daily basis. Thanks again. | |
