| Landowner can do whatever he wants so I find the arguments below quite humorous.
If owning land is so cushy then why aren't all the renters buying instead of renting.
One acre of owned land is worth 3-4 acres of rented land. At the end of the day the gravy flows to the landowner. Those that get that figured out will continue to grow.
All that said, there are some good and bad landowners out there. Always have always will be. That has nothing to do with the above facts.
