| The difference is that one farmer makes a bigger profit.
I spent last week at a 1200 acre family farm, all organic.
Some is rented, but most is owned and paid in full.
Probably one of the biggest organic farm in France, and it's just 2 brothers.
They are taking another 240 acres for one of the sons to join the farm.
OK, they were already very profitable 8 years ago, before they switched the whole farm to organic, but they make an even bigger profit now. They shipped 60 tonnes of green lentils earlier this year, it's in such demand they get a great price for it. | |
