years ago there was a test plot done like that. The outside rows of corn had 15-20 bushels better yield and the outside rows of beans were only a couple bushels less.the second year he tried it a tornado went thru and goosenecked the corn over into the beans,they had to combine 30-35 moisture corn before they could start on the beans,they never tried it again
