Years ago the local elevator was docking everything and the farmers were netting under a dollar a bushel . Same thing your talking about Kody , not quite as bad tho . The nearest terminal that loaded ocean going vessels had a policy that no matter what the grade was , no discount would be more than a dollar a bushel . I had to ask him twice ! That year was the first year we had used a semi . literally paid for the rig that year . The elevator owner was taking all the grain he could get his hands on and taking to the same terminal .The elevator owner didn't do anything unethical , everything was perfectly legit . We quit using him that summer .
