sw MN | jbweston - 7/6/2015 06:05 I have heard that from people too, but this is what I did to check it out. My yard was a terrible shade of light green/brown in spite of all the rain. I took a can of urea and spread on one small area to see what would happen and took a can of AMS and spread on a small area next too it. After three or four days, both areas were dark green. Besides they both should head straight to Ammonium in the soil upon a rain. I think it will work.
+100. Great test. The ammonium N in ams is available right away and will not be lost if it doesn't rain. Perfect for no till and top dressing. 200 bpa corn needs more than 24# of S. Sulfur is needed later in the season than N. |
