I look at whether the slot is closed or not. When it is wet any metal wheel is better, no-til and dry are not in the same sentence here. I suggest getting pairs of what ever trips your trigger then mix and match, for example one Curvetine and one Thompson go together well or a Thompson and a ProStich. This year the only place for rubber wheels was in the back of the truck since it was getting plenty wet by end of soybean planting.
