Imo, rates isn't the whole issue. Spraying weeds 12-24" tall works on weeds that don't need good coverage. Doesn't work on plants that can shut down a growing point and put all its energy into the one that didn't get chemical on it.
Spray early, spray often if need be. Should be the battle cry of every chemical retail.
I agree. In a perfect world spraying early is a must. Doesn't always work that way though in the real world. A lot of us guys who have had too much rain haven't had a chance to spray in 3+ weeks. So whats a guy to do when rained out and the weeds get 12"+ just let them take the field or take a chance and try to kill them. RUP is more effective on 12"+ waterhemp if it isn't resistant TWH than flexstar and Cobra and it's much easier on the beans. |
