I got this thing one day and had the book to set the deck like it should be set. JD told me yesterday that they don't offer high lift blades for this mower but they are wrong because I saw them on ebay and they are a JD blade. I wonder if they would help?Will they eat a lot of power?
How did the book tell you to set the deck?
JDPC has high lift blades listed for the 48" deck:
M115495 Mower Blade 3 48”, STD
M135589 Mower Blade 3 48”, HIGH LIFT, (SUB FOR M76466)
M115496 Mower Blade 3 54”, STD
M135590 Mower Blade 3 54”, (SUB) FOR M76467)
None showing for the 54" deck.
Your 345 has a 20-horse engine.
Don't think high lift blades would be a problem if you can find them.
My bad:
The M135590 is a high lift for 54" deck.
Might be a JDPC misprint.
