There would be 50 cows. They will consume most of the stalks in a pretty short time, but I would also like to feed them back there as well so that I dont have to bring them up to the barn where I have to haul manure all the time. In the barn I have frost free Mira fountains with the balls that they have to push down to drink. When it gets to 0 or below the balls might freeze over but I just give them a kick and their freed up.

That fountain looks good that you reffered to. The price tag of $800 is scary. But I guess everything is expensive now. I would think that heat tube would fill up with water without having a drain connected to it.
