Then even if you want to create a repair DVD, several manufacturers (Dell, HP) set up their recovery partition so it intereferes with and doesn't allow windows to create a repair DVD.
Almost as if they want to create some business for themselves......
You can create one off the Net, but it takes a little more effort.
