Central Illinois | I'm fairly new here myself. I actually put some thought into it before I settled. I'm large - 6' 4" and about 280. "Large" is really part of my last name, too. I worked several years at a foundation seed plant for DeKalb (pre-Monsanto) where I spent every winter cleaning/grading seed. Large rounds are naturally less common than any other graded seed but I always thought they should have a better chance of germination, emergence and survival - all things being equal. Probably not but that's how my twisted mind works.
Raised on a farm but have not been involved in farming for 15 years. I miss it. I currently live vicariously through the folks on this site. | |
