Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Go with a closed loop system so your not running your hard water through it. We've had ours for close to 20 years. Use backup electric heat. Seldom ever runs. Not sure that it has kicked on all winter this year. If it does it is usually not for more than 2-3 days.
If you go that route I'd recommend having plenty of loop. A little extra never hurts and I like the vertical well idea over loops layer out 6' under the surface. |
