Subject: Bin augers

Northeast Indiana
We use 4 grain bins, 2 of which have burners and stirrators for drying and the other two for storage only, and I'm getting tired of having to move augers all the time. We currently also use a drive over pit for the semi and have to reset that as well each time we change bins. The bins are set up in a straight line, and I am looking into the possibility of putting augers across the top of the bins and only setting up the auger and pit once to dump into all 4. We run a 10" auger into the bins, and my question is how big of a horizontal auger would i need to keep up with the 10"? Would an 8" be sufficient being horizontal? Also how big of a span would I be able to cross with a horizontal auger, as the bins are not uniformly spaced. TIA.
