North Central Illinois | Well good grief Coup I could probably take you on a tour and find more than one field around here that will make less than 200. That means absolutely nothing. If they all made over 200 we would have a very serious problem wouldn't we? I still think Illinois is around 195 or 196.
The minute someone posts something about good yields that naysayers come out and declare that things are less than perfect. Well duh! If things were perfect everywhere what kind of a national yield do you think we would have? If everything was perfect the sky would be the limit. So now that some of the guys that have been trying to talk this crop down all summer are finally conceding that yields are looking to stack up pretty good, they are starting to peck away at acreage.
