Embarrass WI
Portable battery powered tools are poor candidates for buying used. Replacement batteries are often as much as a whole new tool. You can find aftermarket batteries for some brands, Milwaukee for sure-Snap-On might be a little tougher.

I'm still using my old Milwaukee 18V NiCad units, except for the JD/Hitachi 3/8 cordless impact. I get "will-fit" batteries for the Milwaukee stuff off Ebay, they've been working fine. The JD/Hitachi gets used more than anything else, it's probably about 8 years old(at least) and still going strong on the original batteries.
