NE SD | That may seeM like a good idea on the face of it, but a rotary converter needs to have a 25-30% load on it at all times. If you can do it, that would be fine. In our scenario that would mean running a lot of unnecessary motors at times (and associated drives, flighting, etc) than sizing it appropriately and using single phase motors under 10 hp where possible. Our fans are also all single phase (a few 15hp) so we don't have to have the converter and other things running just to run the fans. | |
