I'm not really trying to save money or fuel. I just only use this 1486 for planting and it sits the rest of the year. In the fall I don't pull gravity wagons, I just unload straight into the semi. Seems like a shame to have a decent tractor and never use it. I would prefer to have a cabless tractor, maybe a 966 or something similar for cutting firewood and cleaning up brush or just any chores around the property. A cabless tractor would fit into more spots in my barn and get in and out of the woods with firewood a little easier. (I'm sure I would regret it during a surprise rainstorm tho) It would be nice to get on and off a tractor and not have the door hit you in the backside every time.
You will regret going to a 966 .
A cables tractor is only nice a month a year |
