The other part of your system that you should examine is the pressure relief valve. If it's restricted somehow, it could cause part of your problem, but it does sound like there is some sort of blockage in the one zone valve.

Maybe you have the Spraying systems 144A valves like I do. As you have heard, a lot of people don't like them, but so far they have worked just fine. I am not spraying any atrazine or other spray with any solids in it, so I hope to get along fine (and have some spare valves on hand). When I first tried to get mine to spray, the valve was rusted solid up in the part where the plunger and magnet coil are. Finally got that apart and wire brushed the plunger and coated it with antiseize and it works fine now. I think these valves need to be in a cabinet so they are protected from the weather.
