East Central South Dakota | My corn did the same thing 3 nights ago. Has already straightened a little. Side dressed urea and grew as fast as i have ever seen corn grow. Saturated soil with shallow roots made it tip. Corn is goose necking a little at bottom. Head high and you can pull the whole plant out--just no roots. Best looking corn i have ever had before wind. This crop is a long steady fight, with outcome still to be determined. No rain or storms please till i re-root a little. |
