Washington, Kansas & Lincoln, Nebraska | You need an HD code reader. It's funny you should ask this question now because I happen to have a brand new OTC/SPX 3418 HD reader on eBay right now. I'd bought it because I thought my "best offer" on the other one was not going to be accepted. I ended up with two of tem. They do not care what brand of engine is in your big rig.
An OTC 3417 HD reader, like the one I'm using, would read OBD II as well as HD. From my understanding the 3418 does not read OBD II.
