Tink is right - get out in front of the issue and act like you are the leader. Why are prices where they are? Isn't that a function of who is buying the market? The large funds can buy the commodity market several times over almost without thinking about it. I realize they do, but we are not necessarily the biggest fish in their pot. Food makes for sensational news and it's used as a political football, but price is likely just a function of investment timing and what other opportunities are out there. Therefore, there will be time of glut with higher than expected prices and times of shortage with lower than expected prices. The fundamentals motivating the buyers don't have to be the same fundamentals as the commodity. With nothing changing at the top, I think we can expect 4 more years of decent prices since there is no where else for money to go.
