Subject: Rebuilt motors,transmissions, an other components

I have heard horror stories about people putting rebuilt or remanufactured engines trannies an whatever. Seems like most people have bad luck an goes bad an have to put another unit in. A neighbor off mine put a rebuilt tranny in a pickup. He has done that twice an the second time he had to since it was just out off warranty pay the bill homself. Said it would have been cheaper just to put in a new tranny in to begin with. Hes come to the conclusion rebuilt stuff is junk or they dont reall rebuild like they should an short things they should have put in. Whats your guys opinion on this?
