When we calibrated ours I rode along side the planter in our Gator & watched when the drive chains came on & off.
As for the question as to "where" we set ours so they turn on & off between the last row & the row next to it. One thing I hate to see when driving by a field of crops is a gap between the endrows & the field rows. Just a personal thing.
