Sure you can do all that or you can burn it to a DVD then load it to you HDD and you still have the DVD to tuck away safely. If you decide to use this method you can also burn all your accessory software downloads to the DVD including anti-virus; security stuff and then your computer will be protected before going on-line the first time.
