NW Indiana | The wheat market has been strong relative to corn and beans. Seems to me this will entice a fair amount more acres next year especially in the areas with weak basis on soybeans. Is it fair to assume with the current set up that we could see 4 million more acres of wheat? WW up 2.5 and all others up 1.5??? Heck I never grow wheat and I have been running the pencil on it. If wheat is going to increase that much it will be much harder for corn to gain the big numbers many are saying. Corn up 4 million along with wheat and soybeans might be dropping 9 million acres. If a deal was to be worked out that would be explosive the bean market. Seems to me the market will be trying to walk a tight rope for discovery and likely someone will fall creating a very tight situation somewhere. | |
