I'd call it mig welding but technically, its flux core wire welding without gas. Just got my first Lincoln 180 wire welder this winter and just now trying it out. Everybody tells me I should get the gas tanks and go full on mig. But so far I am pretty happy with the flux core wire for what I have worked on.
