Subject: Wheat vernalization

Central Texas
Ok, another wheat question. Our wheat is starting to head out and it's very uneven. There are plants heading out and others not even in boot stage. It's a very ragged looking crop. My agronomist told me that someone from the company that breeds the wheat that almost everyone around here planted told him the wheat didn't completely vernalize. Would that cause the issues we are seeing? I am very disappointed in my wheat, it went from looking decent to crap in the last 2 weeks. It's yellow, stunted, just ugly. I've never seen such a poor looking crop, it's really disappointing.
