East central Indiana | Hey guys I got an issue. Here's the situation::
We have been farming a landlords ground for 30 years. Our avg rent on all of our farm ground is around 215-225. Still high I know. Landlord after harvest says he wants 290. Ground is nowhere near that good. Our CPA went thru all our numbers and advised us not to offer that much as we can't afford (again duh) the CPA farms with his brother just a few miles north of where we are at, so yes they are in the neighborhood. His brother is also a Becks seed dealer. As soon as we were advised not to mess with this ground, CPA Calls brother and they put bid in for apparently 290. My question is. Is that legal and do I have a case. Or is it a case of just ****ty ethics. I feel the CPA USED my info against me and how many other landlords could he possibly do this with?? TIA SCOTT | |
