Adams, NE | The EPA is considering changing the point of obligation for ethanol blending. Changing the point of obligation will increase the cost of our nation's fuel for the benefit of a few merchant refiners. Additionally, blends above e10 become challenged financially as the incentive to blend actually decreases. If RINS cannot encourage higher ethanol blends and trendline growth in corn continues, corn prices are going to have to stimulate higher ethanol blends. That is not good for corn or bean prices. Take some time and send an email to the EPA. Your future may be at stake.
