IL | I know this has been brought up numerous times but figure we might as well bring it up again and beat this dead horse some more.
Why am I not allowed to go and buy the EXACT seed from the cheapest price zone if I am willing to go and truck it back to the farm?
We are allowed to go and buy fertilizer wherever we want, we can go and buy machinery wherever we want, we can buy chemical wherever we want. But seed? No. This goes for all of the major seed players as far as I know.
Zone pricing is a racket as far as I am concerned. Yes there are other items that cost more in other areas but nothing that prevents you from going and buying in the cheaper areas if you wish. | |
