West Central IL | I have a wireless ISP, as does my neighbor, we are at the max distance and not blocked by a tree line. Everyone around us has tried to get it, but they are either too far or a tree line or terrain is in the way. Our recent DSL provider has stopped fixing things in our area. I shot an email to the provider the other day about putting a setup on our water tower. Told them I could easily get them at least 10 customers. The next morning I got an email back about the location of the tower. I google earthed it and sent them a map and directions, the company is out of a town 40 miles away. Later that day I got another email, they were contacting the rural water company to do a site survey, said that the location looked like a good spot. They already have a setup on another one of their water towers. They said they will keep me updated through the process. | |
