Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have a bare bones laptop in my shop for music. It is connected to an external hard drive which contains literally thousands of songs. The computer is so bare bones, it doesn't even have an internal hard drive.
It works but seems to run out of data at times while playing. The music will be going along just fine and then pause and after a bit pick up where it left off. I didn't think it did this at first. An older computer running with the same external drive did not do this.
I assume it is running out of data and the pause is while it is retrieving the next portion of the song off the hard drive. Is there some setting I could change so that more of the song is loaded and thus not have the pauses? The computer did not come with a mouse and I do have a USB wireless mouse going to one USB port and the external hard drive to the other. Would removing the wireless mouse help the pause situation. |
