never had or shot a pistol with a scope so I've no experience. Not going to hunt with it. Not going to carry it. Just shoot targets once in a while. Looking at a S&W Victory .22. It has a Picatinny rail for mounting a scope, I thought that would be good for an older guy with poor eyesight. I looked through a couple of scopes on some rifles to get an idea and I didn't care for ones with a dot as they obscure the target. I rather liked the cross hair type of reticle. If I get this it won't see much use so I don't want to spend hundreds for the scope but I would like to feel that it won't fall apart, will hold its settings and won't fog up. Most shooting will be 20 to 50 yards at a target assuming I can get ammunition. Thank you for any helpful comments. |
