West Middletown | I have been casually shopping for a self propelled sprayer and plan on making a purchase right after the first of the year.
The 284's appear to average $25k-$30k with normal hours of 3500 or so. The 2100's, however, start at $35k and there are some asking up to $50,000 for their machines. I only plan on spraying about 300 acres per year. Many will say that I don't even need a self propelled but with the soft market, I think it will pay for itself over time.
Who would take the leap from the 284 to newer 2100??
Would productivity and cost of ownership be better with the newer model or is it just that newer equipment costs more?
