| We farm in SW Wisconsin and are going to try some fall as well as spring strip till this coming year. My question is how to best apply N when doing a fall program. Using gas is just not practical for us due to location and logistics. In normal COC production we would apply about half our N as pre plant 32% and the other as side dressed 32% at around V8 to V10ish. I really do not want to spray 32 over all that intact residue. Am thinking of a very simple freshener on 3pt to gently hit strip and drizzle on some 32 in the spring. Any ideas from others would be appreciated. Fall mix will be ams, dap, and potash mixed for around 220 bushel removal. | |
