Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | A while back I posted about my waterlogged Walkman. I shook it and got some water out but there was still some under the screen. I put it in a sealed container and surrounded it with rice. I checked every day for several days with no apparent improvement. I checked the other day and it appeared to have dried out. I waited a day or two and got brave yesterday.
I plugged it into a wall charger and the display came to life right away. This looked promising at it said it was building a library. Later I plugged it into my Ford Edge with Sync and the music was playable through the car as before. I was a bit alarmed when the first song that came up was an old KISS song and it sounded "fuzzy". I advanced to the next song and everything was fine. Then it dawned on me that the KISS song was a live recording.
It appears that the rice saved my old Walkman at least for now. Those things are quite outdated but it really works very well for me with a set of 3M WorkTunes when I'm moving the lawn.
