Subject: Question for SAT or whoever wants to jump in-

So Illinois
During the corn run up I read where funds were short covering, basically all they were doing. I read market comments from Steve Freed-ADM, tweets from Ken Morrison and our man SAT (no I'm not picking on you) that said all the funds were doing was covering shorts. Then all of a sudden the market tanked and all I hear is funds were too long. Needed to shed market length. What gives??? Are there different types of funds or did they just accumulate length ultra quick before the reports were out?? Not bashing anyone just me and my bank account trying to learn. Thanks.
